What it does

Daily Reports: the newsroom’s own desk

Daily Reports works like the Booking desk, for the newsroom. It has its own archive and Recycle Bin, separate from the Booking desk's, and offers the statuses your company ticks for the newsroom. The report card adds Reporter and Guests tabs.

New Report: durations the way they are said

Choose a report service in the New Report window and its own fields appear: Report type, Delivery time and Report duration. The duration is typed in minutes and seconds, so 02:30 is two minutes thirty, and report rates are priced in minutes of report.

Reporters Book and Guest Book

Every reporter and guest has a single page: details, every booking they appear on, and their bills. Guests are filed by category, sub-category and origin. Duplicates merge into one entry, and any list exports to a spreadsheet.

  • Retiring a person keeps them on past bookings and stops new offers
  • The same entry is used wherever that person appears

News Requests

Where a company switches them on, requests wait in their own queue before they become bookings, with what was asked for, who asked and why. Make a booking opens a New Report already filled in; Decline marks it declined, and its Response memo records why.

  • Once booked, Go to service opens the booking it became
  • A request already turned into a booking cannot be deleted

Reporter Bills and Guest Bills

Reporters and guests have no rate card: what they are paid is written on each booking, fee by fee. Reporter Bills and Guest Bills gather those fees for a day, a week, a month or any period, one row per person, with what is still unpaid.

  • Mark paid settles every unpaid fee at once, or one at a time
  • Charge to the client and margin show only to roles allowed to see them
